I am an electrician. It does not behoove me to promote things I do not need to wire, at least fiscally. Howver, these fans are awesome. If you call the  factory you may just have the owner answer the phone! Sorta like calling me. These are ultra quiet, easy to install, they make next to no noise.... what else is there to know!!

Why should I use these?

Heat in your atic makes its way into the home, Installaing an attic fan will reduce the temperature within the home several degrees on hot days. We highly recommend purchasing a fan with the thermostat included so that it will not turn on when it is cold outside

What size fan or quantity of fans do I need?

This is based on the cubic feet your attic takes up. A good rule of thumb is a complete air exchnage every X minutes. So, a 2000 sq ft home with an average 3' high attic would contain 6000 cubic feet o f space. a 1250 CFM fan woud exhaust the entire attic space every 5 minutes.

Where do they need to be mounted?

It is good to pull the air from the shaded side of the home and exhaust it out the hot side. This is great! The solar fan wants to see the sun. It needs to mount as high as possible on the sunny side of the roof.

Can it mount elsewhere?

Yes, pretty much anyplkace when you use the remote panel.
